U.S. PATENT on a Method for Controlling Glucose Levels in Diabetic Dogs. Patent Pending Diabetic People.
A South Dakota company (Vintek Nutrition, LLC® – owners, Kameron Carlson and Nancy Carlson) obtained a U.S. patent on a method for controlling glucose levels in diabetic dogs. The company and its owners also have another patent pending for a similar treatment for diabetic people. The diabetic treatment for dogs is called Dia-Treaties® and has been tested for over 5 years. The patent applies to their other two products for dogs as well. The other products are: Sterling Coat® for dog’s skin and coat issues and Vitali-Treaties® for your dog’s increased vitality.
The human treatment is called Nutralin® and is being further developed.

Diabetes is increasing at epidemic proportions in people and even more dramatically in dogs. Since 2006, dog diabetes has increased 32% (American Humane Society, 2012) and 23% in people (CDC 2012).
